What’s the Christmas season really about?

Christmas is a day, but the season is so much more. Take a closer look at the Nativity, the story of Christmas told through ordinary people and unexpected places. Bring your questions. See the story for yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out to come and see.

FAQs

Is this your first time visiting NewSpring?

If you’re new to NewSpring, you might have questions about how we do things and what you should expect at a Christmas service. Here are some answers to a few frequently asked questions.

Who (or what) is NewSpring?

NewSpring is one church in 13 locations across the state of South Carolina. Each location is led by a local campus pastor, and we gather across the state because we believe God wants a relationship with everyone, including you. No matter who you are or what your story is, you are welcome to join.

What can I expect when I arrive, and when should I arrive?

If you’re new to NewSpring, turn on your car flashers when you pull into the parking lot. Our parking team will direct you to convenient parking just for you. Next, you’ll walk into the atrium, where friendly greeters will be waiting to answer any questions you might have. Then, grab a refreshment and make your way to the auditorium for the service. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before the service begins to make your way inside, get coffee or hot chocolate, and find a seat. We can’t wait to have you!

What happens at a NewSpring service?

At a NewSpring service, you’ll see friendly faces as you walk in. As you enter, you’ll have the opportunity to grab a free coffee or beverage. During the service, you’ll hear songs, a practical teaching, experience a time to reflect on what you heard, and a dismissal.

What is the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service?

The Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be around 60 minutes. You’ll hear songs, then hear a short Christmas message from the local campus pastor. We will conclude the service with Christmas carols and candlelight. This is a family service, and children are welcome to attend.

Who can attend NewSpring at Christmas?

Everyone is welcome! This is a service for all ages, so please bring your children, friends, neighbors, anyone who could use some hope and peace this Christmas!

Can I come by myself?

Absolutely! You don’t need to know anyone to attend. You can stop by the Guest Services desk before or after service, or let a greeter know you are here for the first time, to get connected.

Do I have to participate?

No. Whether you want to sing or connect with someone during the service is completely up to you. You’re welcome to come with questions or just see what it’s all about.

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

What do you have for my kids on Christmas Eve?

The Christmas Eve service is for all ages, so kids are welcome to join the service! Children in fifth grade and under will get a light-up candle and a bag of Christmas goodies as they enter the service.
