Celebrate a Baptism Story

Baptism is an outward expression of someone’s decision to follow Jesus, and it is beautiful! On Sunday, we celebrated with Lilianna as she took her next step in her walk with Jesus. Read her story in her own words: 

“Raised in a Christian home, I accepted Jesus as my Savior at a young age, understanding His sacrifice and its significance for my salvation. However, my early college years were marked by unsanctified living. Battling anxiety and engaging in self-harm, I sought fulfillment in peer validation and worldly comforts. 

In 2023, facing another poor choice during a low point, I distinctly heard God’s voice. This pivotal moment revealed how far I had strayed, and Jesus met me in my brokenness, drawing me out. Now, years later in my faith journey, I recognize that only Jesus can fill the void I once tried to satisfy elsewhere, and His validation is all I truly need. 

Since then, I’ve experienced profound peace. My baptism serves as an outward declaration of the inward transformation Jesus brought about in my life. I stand as a testament that no one is beyond Jesus’ reach; He meets us where we are and more.”
