Campus Pastor Note

I have LOVED all that we have started this year doing together, and I cannot stop thinking about these two words that lifted during our Night of Worship as we capped off 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting: Right Now. I feel the Lord in this time saying that He never intended for us to give a concession for a lack of hope in our lives with Him. He is the God of Now. He always has and always will be. If His people just turn and acknowledge Him today, He will meet with us. This makes me think of our recent reading in Mark 1:15, where Jesus says, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

The Kingdom is here thanks to Christ, and He desires that we do not wait one single moment to embrace His Kingdom as a reality.

Think about all we’ve done already to try and train to embrace this truth…

  • Started the Year of the Bible together

  • Sought God during 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting together

  • Worshipped and praised Him at our Night of Worship

  • Now, we are committing to Christ and His leadership for us this year through Commitment Cards.

What a run!!

All of this is so we can learn to listen to HIS Voice in the sea of voices all around us. To know HIS Spirit in the cloud of spirits trying to influence us. To serve HIM, the only God who came to us and saw us even when we were broken down and helpless. And that is all unto the hope that today would be impacted by seeing Him correctly as the God of All Creation. Jesus has made a way for you and I to experience peace today and we don’t have to wait until tomorrow.

So, with all of that in mind, what is the Lord leading you to do today? What is God leading you to commit to? What is your unique gift and contribution to the Kingdom of God here in our Region of the Grand Strand? There is only one you, and I am honored to know you. May we continue to press on and truly see everyone, everywhere, come into an everyday relationship with Christ TODAY!

With love,
Johnathan Foster
