A Father’s Day Blessing

Dads, as you step into this week, may these words stay with you and draw you closer to your Father:

We pray that the love of Christ leads your thoughts, words, and actions as you step into this week. We ask the Holy Spirit to give you the guidance to lead your families with confidence and not passivity. May you be the first to pursue the things of God in your home, knowing that we love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19).

Lastly, Lord, remind these fathers of just how much You love them. May they be encouraged by the words of the theologian John Owen: “The greatest sorrow and burden you can lay on the Father, the greatest unkindness you can do to him, is not to believe that he loves you.”
