Session 1

Aleph: Learn to keep God’s words

From Psalm 119: 22 Reasons to Love God’s Word

The writer of Psalm 119 devotes 176 verses to his love of God’s words. He begins with a blessing and four times encourages us to keep God’s word.

To keep God’s word is to read it, think about it, and take it into our life so it fuels us and changes us. Think of keeping God’s word like eating. You bite into food, chew on it, then as it’s digested it becomes fuel for your body

As you read God’s words, may you learn what it means to keep them. May you read them, meditate on them, and love His voice. May God grant you understanding so you walk in His ways. And may your time in God’s word be fuel for your life.

Reflect:
  • Did a specific word or phrase stand out as you read today’s verses? Ask God if there’s something specific He’s trying to say to you.
